Up to 2019, the world population has reached 7.6 billion people and on average, each person uses up 35.000 straws throughout their lives. On the ocean, plastic is found in stomachs of 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles and in the event of swallowing plastic, ocean animals only get 50 % chance of survival. Annually, approximately 8 million tons of plastic is released into the ocean and a plastic straw takes two century to decompose. What a realistic but unbelievable figure! What have we have been doing to the Earth-our green house?

The Earth inhabitants’ habit of daily plastic straws is one of the major causes of annual 8 million ocean plastic waste. It is a truth that plastic waste in our present age is no longer at the “warning “level. Therefore, saying “no” to plastic straws is literally joining hands to protect our green plant.
